What Is Grounding?
Grounding is a self-soothing skill to use when you are having a bad day or dealing with a lot of stress, overwhelming feelings, and/or intense anxiety. Grounding is a technique that helps keep you in the present and helps reorient you to the here-and-now and to reality. It can also serve as a distraction from the difficulties you are dealing with.

Healing Benefits of Grounding
Grounding offers many health benefits, including improved sleep, reduced inflammation, improved tissue and cell repair, enhanced blood flow, increased heart rate variability, and improved electrical activity in the brain. In addition, walking barefoot on the ground releases endorphins.
6 Simple Grounding Techniques:

1. Connect with nature – being in nature is a wonderful way to revitalize. Take off your shoes and feel the earth beneath you, breath deeply and be in the present moment.
2. Meditation – meditation involves getting in touch with your physical body which can develop a strong sense of being.
3. Just Move – Any type of physical activity helps to remove any accumulated toxic energy. Shake it up with exercise, go for a walk, or dance.
4. Eat Grounding Foods – All foods from the earth. The Rainbow Diet (fruits and vegetables).
5. Crystals – Obsidian, black tourmaline, and smokey quartz are all perfect grounding crystals.
6. Reiki Sessions – Reiki sessions remove any blocked or stagnant energy from your chakras and aura.

Sometimes I take an epsom salt bath with essential oils. I do love to walk on the beach, and I feel that when I wade in the ocean when we go to Florida it really helps my inflammation.
